Exploring native trees in your forest

The event will take place in Jerash forest at Sakib area on June 5th.2021 at 10am-5pm. A 2 km hiking trail in the forest to identify all the native tree plants. The event is open to public and the invitation will be posted on our Facebook page, a group of youth from sakib local community will work alongside with WADIs' team to mange the event. Before conducting the event, we will host a specialized botanical expert to train this group, to assure their capacity to give an accurate description of the trees in the forest and answer the following points : The plant scientific and local name, native or invasive? Evergreen or deciduous? plant status according to the red list, Gathering seeds, propagation methods, sowing season, etc..

A cleaning activity will also take place at the site.
