Green Ghana

As part of Conservation Alliance International’s mandate to conserve biodiversity across Africa especially in forest areas, we partook in the Green Ghana Campaign together with five community based organizations from five districts in the Western North Region of Ghana. The Green Ghana campaign is an initiative by the government for Ghanaians to plant at least five million trees across the country to replace depleting plants stock. About 2,000 seedlings which include Acacia, Mahogany, Ofram, Otie, Emire, among many others were planted in schools, roadsides, hospitals, riverbanks, abandoned mined site.
