Saving Marasmodes undulata project

The New Orleans Park is the home to Marasmodes undulata, a Critically Endangered plant species in the Asteraceae Family. The species is endemic to this 6ha conservation area and is currently extinct in the wild. We are conducting a project (funded by the Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund) to reintroduce the back into the wild. The site also requires additional restoration activities and engagement from the local community. Our activity at the site will include a litter cleanup, planting species in the restoration site, alien invasive clearing and seed collection.
