Tree Planting Project

Laura Green Foundation tree planting project will hold on 11th June, 2021 in Primary and Secondary in Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria.
We targeted primary and secondary Schools because we want to instill a sense of responsibility and personal commitment in the school children so they will have a mindset shift when it comes to the environment and it's protection. Economic trees like Irvingia gabonensis (bush mango), Garcinia cola (bitter cola), Persea Americana (avacado) and Anona muricata (soursop) was choose for the project because when they start fruiting, the school management will be able to sell the proceeds and use the money generated to pay for student's school fees that their parents can't afford it and also it will add nutritional values to the teacher and students of the school as snack. Ornamental Trees like Azadiratcha indica (Neem) and Terminalia mantaly (Terminalia or umbrella tree) will also be planted.

We will also create Environmental Club that will help keep the fire burning in those students.
