Trees for the cities

Our event is titled ‘TREES FOR THE CITIES’, scheduled to hold in the city of Makurdi, Benue state, North-central Nigeria. Makurdi is a sub-urban city with issues of unsustainable environmental management plans which cannot effectively tackle problems of emission due to heavy usage of gasoline power generating sets and automobiles as well as indiscriminate falling of trees and bush burning that has led to heat bouts and undoubtedly, increased and accumulated noble gases in the atmosphere. As trees are referred to as the lungs of the earth, we aim to use this project to not just reduce the negative effects of emissions into the atmosphere and indiscriminate falling of trees but also enlighten people on the need to encourage safety and sustainability in the various life-long activities and practices which if not checked will leave us with a sicker and unstable Mother Earth.

COVID Protocols

Due to the fact that we will be expecting a slightly sizable number of Volunteers, we are keen on stricter COVID-19 protocols which include mandatory use of face masks, hand sanitizers and provision of hand washing facilities. We will also ensure compliance with standard social distancing measures.
