Our Environment Our Responsibility

Our Environment Our Responsibility is a 3-day program activity in the Make a Difference Week. This awareness campaign on the ecosystem and environmental protection in three different communities shall be conducted with the community members and include how to do seedling planting, garbage pickup, and sanitation. With each community and our volunteers, we are going to perform one task for each day which will enable us to conduct three consecutive programs in three different communities.

1. HAAF will go to each community to create awareness on ecological restoration. We will sanitize the community by removing refuse in drainage systems and alongside participants plant some seedlings (black currant) and give seedlings to them at the end of the activity.

2.  We will conduct an awareness campaign on the need and importance of planting trees and proper refuse disposal in the communities.

On the 9th day of June 2021 HAAF and the community volunteers in the Veterinarian community will commence awareness creation on garbage pickup to the community members and then proceed to pick up garbage.

On the 10th Day of June 2021, HAAF and the community volunteers will also conduct awareness creation in Pompomari on the importance of environmental sanitation and begin to sanitize the environment.

On the 11th Day of June 2021, HAAF will work in the Polo Jiddari on the need of afforestation together with community volunteers.

COVID Protocols

COVID 19: HAAF will duly follow the COVID 19 prevention and mitigation measures put in place by Borno state Government and Federal Republic of Nigeria. Safety: HAAF security and safety officer will make a pre-activity security Assessments (terrain, steep slope, traffic) and general security threads and draft contingency plan.
